Backpacks for $35.00!

Nancy Abbott has some information I wanted to pass along. She apparently has been able to have access to some backpacks that have been discontinued. They have no warranty but appear to be great backpacks and are selling for $35.00 with a $4.00 shipping fee. If you are interested you can google Virtuosa Backpack (Womens model) or the Maestro Backpack (Mens model). She is holding open the order until the end of the month. If you are interested you can contact Nancy Abbott at forevermom8@hotmail.com . Two weeks ago we took out our 72 hour kits and realized we were in need of some new backpacks. Ben could barely put his on. Anyways it sound like a great deal so check it out.

Time to Start Prunning

As February is half over and the weather is getting a little better my thoughts have turned to the garden. Okay, that started back in November but now I can really think about it. When it comes to prunning its great to get some insight on how to do it right. Someone gave me this site which has some videos clips on prunning from Utah State University. I think they are helpful. The site is http://tinyurl.com/cxobzb. Take a look and see what you think. Good Prunning!

Nancy Abbott has informed me that Brother Dave Adams of the Canby 1st Ward is offering his garden class coming up this next month. It will be at the Stake Center and start at 7:00 p.m. It will start on February 5 and follow weekly for the next several weeks. The class is for the Oregon Trail Ward but all are invited. I have taken Brother Adams class before. He is very knowledgeable and travels the world to help other people with their farms and gardens. Laying Chickens

Just an update on the hens. I checked the local hatchery and some others and the earliest I can get them is in February. I will be ordering a few for others if anyone is still in need let me know. Linda Porter did say she was able to get some 4 month old hens I belive from Estacada. These were on Craigslist. They were selling for $10.00 each. Please let me know.
