Tuna, Tuna, Tuna!

Here is something you may be interested in but you need to act quickly. You may not be aware of this but Larry and Jenny Nilson in the Oregon Trail own or own a part in a Tuna Boat. Every year it comes and there is always extra Tuna for sale. The boat has landed and they have about 4 ton available. Larry will be going down next week to pick it up. They are selling it for about $1.25 per/lb. Each fish weighs about 12lbs, and so you get 6-7 lbs per fish which is about 10 pints of Tuna. I am told it is a little messy to can but easy and the taste is so much better than store bought. If you are interested you can call him at 503-656-1369. Last Time for Mountain House

I just received an e-mail from Nancy Abbott. In the past she has been able to get some great deals on Mountain House items. Mountain house is best known for their great freeze dried dinners you would take camping. They also offer a ton of things for home as well. I was just looking at Simplylivingsmart.com and found they have a portable stove that weighs less than 20 lbs and is powered by a small propane canister for up to 6 hours. It would be great to use camping, during power outage, or in emergency situations. They have it on sale now for under $199.00. It looked great and may be a great tool to add to your home emergency supplies.
